Thing 1: Getting Started
My name is Jenna Socash and I am an Elementary ENL teacher at Rochester International Academy. I teach beginner ENL students in grades 3-6. My students speak many different languages such as Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Karen, Karenni, Nepali, Somali, Vietnamese, Dari and Arabic.
I am taking part in Cool Tools in order to expand my own toolbox in the classroom. With an increase in technology, I want to prepare my students for their futures while making learning fun and engaging for all levels and all cultures.
Wow, that is quite a range of languages your students speak! What a wonderful mix of cultures.
